The Bathroom Begins

Fall has come. Due to the intense change in climate, really chilly and rainy sweater weather came just mere days after dry, sweltering hot early September days (but my Owners were vacationing part II in Paris, how nice!). In our household, that means bathroom reno has officially begun.

Here are some of the behind-the-scene photos, because reno is real (pain in my brick a**e). Also in this renovation journal written by me—the House that is being renovated—we like to keep things real.

Bathroom materials piling in the living room, covering the idling fireplace. Cats are super psyched.

Because human beings need to keep themselves clean, my Owners have rented this… thing, and put it in the dining area for them to shower in. Ergh.

At the same time, apparently Lady Owner is also continuing the makeover of the guest room/home office. That means a lot of wallpapering and painting.

Her cat is a great cheerleader. He likes sitting on wallpapers.

This will probably take two weeks. Demolition begins very very soon, so my Owners should prepare themselves to deal with annoyed neighbors and so on. But Lady Owner has been entertaining herself by looking for a ceramic stool for the shower.

And she is positively smitten by this stool from Loods5. What do you think of this against the backdrop of blue terrazzo? Blasphemy or revolutionary?
