A DIY-er’s Personal Crisis Because She’s on Social Media Too Much
A. k. a. Lady Owner’s personal crisis.
Lady Owner has been having a little bit of crisis. While watching endless YouTube videos on DIY how-to and such, she has been presented by numerous beautiful women performing utterly demanding renovation works, both physically and technically, while somehow still managing to look like actual goddesses. Make up on, hair flawless, nails long, painted and manicured. Not to mention it seems like they can do anything. How is this possible?
Lady Owner testifies to her husband about that one YouTube account of a first-time house-flipper couple that claimed that they started renovating their ginormous, crumbling down Victorian home with zero experience. They execute everything perfectly while still running active social media accounts, having full-time daily jobs, etc. On top of everything, the wife does all the building works looking like some British princess (with construction gears, but still). Other accounts are basically the same. For example of Christine McConnell, everyone’s beloved Goth Queen/Artist/DIY-er, that makes my Lady Owner feel like a total failure of human specimen. How does Christine McConnell manage to restore her dining room’s century-old wallpaper by hand-painting it while wearing Dita von Teese boudoir-style mask to work, doing everything from sawing, hammering, etc? (She is currently restoring her entire gothic mansion herself.)
Well, sigh. Poor Lady Owner really hopes she can renovate her house herself, without having to pay very expensive professionals to do everything, but the problem is a) she doesn’t know how to do a lot of things, b) she has jobs and c) she has a toddler and multiple pets. But other people seem to have no problems at all despite similar situations. How?
I reckon, at least she will have a bit more time if she stops being on social media all the time, right?
